Title of the Programme
The programme shall be Master of public administration MEng. (PA)
You have real-world professional experience and know what works (and what doesn’t). You already have a master’s degree in economics, public policy, or management. You feel like you’ve found your calling. The MPA curriculum is flexible. You create a study plan that reflects your academic interests, focuses on your personal and professional aspirations, and integrates across disciplines.
You may also decide to pursue a concurrent degree in business, law, medicine or other professional fields. A number of our MPA students do. The result? You’ll earn two degrees in less time and acquire even more skills you can use to make a difference in the world.
You’ll learn from world-renowned scholars whose expertise spans public administration, management, and policy. Our students master contemporary administrative, management, and leadership best. The MPA core curriculum combines a globally oriented and comparative approach to national policy-making with rigorous courses in economics, quantitative analysis and management. Students choose from the broadest range of concentrations among SIPA’s peer institutions: International Security Policy, International Finance and Economic Policy, Economic and Political Development, Human Rights and Humanitarian Policy, and Urban and Social Policy. Graduates possess advanced analytical abilities and career-oriented professional knowledge and skills, acquired through a curriculum that integrates Columbia University’s unsurpassed academic rigor with extensive experiential learning, including the most diverse capstone workshop program in the field.
