Title of the Programme
The programme shall be bachelor of public health and management
- Background
Students pursuing their undergraduate degree in Public Health and management gain knowledge and skills in the five disciplines of public health: biostatistics, epidemiology, health policy and management, social and behavioral sciences and environmental health. Public health professionals develop and deliver health initiatives that focus on improving the health and wellbeing of whole populations, locally and on a global scale. They may specialize in preventing the spread of disease, promoting health services, developing policies and practices that deliver fair and equitable health systems, creating safer work environments, investigating sustainable environmental practices, advocating for minority groups, or encouraging communities to adopt healthy lifestyle choices.
If you take this rather eloquent idea about an individual’s health and apply it to a wider group of people, you can start to understand the importance of good public health; it enables individuals and communities to prosper and lead longer, happier and more productive lives. Therefore, there is a solid argument to be made that good public health should be prioritized as both a moral and an economic asset.
- Justification
Public health covers a range of fields – everything from fighting infectious disease outbreaks across the globe, to developing and presenting wellness programs in local communities and creating public policies. No matter where public health professionals work, they’re driven by the same mission: to protect the health of populations and improve quality of life through healthy behaviors.
All coursework, including lectures, assignments, and exams, is available through the online learning system. http://www.ist-ecampus.online/blended/

- General Objectives
Explore how social, cultural, political, and geographical conditions play a pivotal role in health and how understanding these factors can help us tackle smoking, obesity, infectious diseases, and other modern-day health challenges.
By drawing on skills from different disciplines, you’ll learn how to develop health policies that work and health messages that hit home. In your final year, you’ll complete a thesis, an independent study, or a community engagement placement.
- Specific Objectives
With this understanding, the main goal of public health professionals is to identify public health challenges within certain populations, study the root cause and develop initiatives that make a positive impact.
