The programme shall be Bachelor Of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance
( BBA in Accounting and Finance )
Over the last few years, financial markets have reached a size, complexity and sophistication that have created the demand for professionals who are able to assess companies which need financing in these markets and manage the many financial risks they are subject to as a result of their activity. Equally, there is a need for experts in the management of capital of small and large investors. It is also significant that companies’ financial and accounting departments are more and more linked requiring professional experts in both fields. Recent changes in International Accounting Regulations require accountants to know how to value financially the assets and liabilities of a company. It is difficult to understand the financial situation of a company without in-depth knowledge of the information extracted from the Financial Statements.
The degree in Finance and Accounting aims to train professionals who are going to pursue careers in areas of investment analysis and management, banking, auditing, consulting and financial management. Until now, this training was only available through studies in Business Administration where, together with the financial and accounting knowledge which one wished to acquire, one had to know about Business Management and Organization or Human Resources Management necessary for the appropriate training of a Company Director. Today, it is possible to separate the area of Business Management or Administration from the Financial- Accounts area. But this does not imply that students will only have to study Finance and Accounts. After four years of studies, you will know a great deal about these areas, but the flexible nature of this new degree will also provide you with solid training in areas such as Economics, Computing, Business Administration and Law, which will, without doubt, increase your employment opportunities of its graduates.
All coursework, including lectures, assignments, and exams, is available through the online learning system. http://www.ist-ecampus.online/blended/
